Academic Research Conference Keynote Address

Dr. Claussen-Schoolmeester has been an educator for 27 years serving others in the capacity of volleyball coach, elementary classroom teacher, administrator, professor of education, and most recently an appointed school board member. Wendy’s passion for education, for people, and for social media is evident by her many presentations for varied audiences 

Dr. Claussen-Schoolmeester has been a nominee for Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, Disney’s American Teacher, Teachers Who Make a Difference, and Minnesota Teacher of the Year. Wendy has also self-published a children’s book entitled “Police Car ABC’s.” 

Dr. Claussen-Schoolmeester is a wife, mother of two adult children, and a Grandma to an adorable 2-year old. Wendy enjoys walking, reading, tweeting, playing with her grandson, sitting by a camp fire eating roasted marshmallows, sipping chai tea lattes, and advocacy work.
